HOW TO JUSTIFY MANDATORY ELECTORAL QUOTAS: A POLITICAL EGALITARIAN APPROACH

ABSTRACT This paper offers a novel substantive justification for mandatory electoral quotas—e.g., gender or racial quotas—and new methodological approach to their justification. Substantively, I argue political egalitarian account of quotas.
